IPL 2024: Ranking best catches in tournament

1. Faf du Plessis (RCB vs CSK) - 9/10

39-year-old Faf du Plessis took a one-handed stunner to dismiss Mitchell Santner in the match between RCB and CSK. It is not just his incredible effort that puts this catch at the top of the list, but also considering the circumstances of the game. RCB had an uphill task of restricting CSK to 200 to qualify for the playoffs and Santner’s catch during the 15^th over proved vital as a drop could have resulted in a boundary. 

The southpaw hit a low full toss towards the RCB skipper at mid-off. The ball seemed to go over Du Plessis’ head, but the South African jumped in time to his full height to grab the ball. It was a turning point in the match and eventually helped RCB win the game and qualify for the knockouts.
