IPL 2024: Rating of Captaincy Performance in Sixth Week

The last six weeks of the Indian Premier League have flown by and we are now in the final few weeks of the season. Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders who set the early pace in the season are the best two sides of the league so far. Pat Cummins and his Sunrisers Hyderabad are in the running for a place in the playoffs too have played some amazing cricket this year.

One of the biggest disappointments has been the form of two former champion sides. Mumbai Indians who have won the title on 5 occasions are currently 9^th in the table having won just 4 games so far. IPL 2022 winners, Gujarat Titans too have endured a very bad season as they are bottom of the table despite possessing a slew of T20 greats in their line-up.

10. Shubman Gill – Gujarat Titans -2/10

It has not been an easy initiation to the captaincy for Shubman Gill in the IPL. The 24-year-old was soundly beaten by Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the last game. One of the biggest problems that GT has faced is the face of Shubman Gill which has taken a turn for the worse this season. Three losses in the last three games have seen GT slide to the bottom of the table and need a few wins to get them out of the wooden spoon spot.
