IPL 2024: Sunrisers Hyderabad strongest predicted playing XI against Gujarat Titans
Sunrisers Hyderabad head to Ahmedabad to play Gujarat Titans after their record breaking feats with the bat against Mumbai Indians
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have emerged as one of the most dangerous sides this year in IPL 2024. The 2016 title winners demolished the Mumbai Indians bowling attack to post an all-time high score of 277 runs.
Pat Cummins and his side have twice scored above 200 runs in the opening two games of the season. After years of struggling in the bottom half of the table it seems the tide is finally changing.
On Sunday the Aussie star will return to Ahmedabad where he enjoyed his biggest moment as the skipper. Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on former IPL winners Gujarat Titans (GT) in a massive afternoon game.

Here is the probable playing XI of SRH for the match against GT in IPL 2024, Match 12:
Openers – Mayank Agarwal and Travis Head
Mayank Agarwal is currently playing some amazing cricket to show the selectors that he is back to his best. The 33-year-old will want to continue in the same vein against Gujarat Titans on Sunday. Agarwal could score only 11 runs against Mumbai Indians before falling to Hardik Pandya.
Travis Head made his IPL debut for SRH in the most spectacular fashion. The Aussie left-handed batter scored 62 runs from just 24 balls. Travis Head reached his fifty in just 18 balls to leave the MI bowlers dazed. He will have good memories of Ahmedabad as he scored a ton in the ODI World Cup final.

Middle-order – Abhishek Sharma, Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen, and Abdul Samad
Young Abhishek Sharma has been garnering a lot of attention with his blazing blade for a while now. The 23-year-old knows one good season can propel him on the cusp of national selection.
Former SRH skipper Aiden Markram has been pivotal in the middle-order this year. The team management will hope that the 29-year-old can continue more of the same on Sunday against Gujarat Titans. Heinrich Klaasen has been the most dangerous batter during the IPL 2024 season. The South African star is rightly in the top half of the table for the leading run-scorers. Young Abdul Samad hasn’t got many chances to bat this season, but everyone knows how dangerous he is with the bat in hand.

All-rounders – Shahbaz Ahmed and Pat Cummins
After being traded from Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Shahbaz Ahmed has become a key member of the SRH team. The 28-year-old played a cameo with the bat against KKR in the first game of the season. It was Shahbaz Ahmed who picked the wicket of Ishan Kishan to dent Mumbai Indians who were giving a firm reply with the bat.
Skipper Pat Cummins has been largely a bystander with the bat in hand. His biggest contributions has been the two wickets he picked against Mumbai Indians. Rohit Sharma was nipped out just when the former MI skipper was starting to cut loose. The wicket of Tilak Varma for 64 then changed the whole complexion of the game.

Bowlers – Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, and Mayank Markande
The last two games have been tough for veteran Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The 34-year-old is wicketless so far and has conceded over 100 runs. With the quality he has with the ball, Kumar will be looking to perform a quick turnaround.
It is also an important game for Umran Malik who has seen his stocks tumble in recent times. India’s fastest bowler has been out of national reckoning and he knows he has to find his best form to get back into the team. Umran Malik’s only fifer in T20 cricket has incidentally come against Gujarat Titans in 2022.
Mayank Markande had a game to forget against his former side the Mumbai Indians. His four overs went for 52 runs and didn’t pick any wickets. The young spinner has to perform against Gujarat Titans in a bid to keep his place in the side.
