SRH XI against CSK | Predicted Sunrisers Hyderabad playing 11 against Gujarat Titans for 46th Match of IPL 2024 - CricTracker

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will square off in the 46th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2024. In their first match of this season, SRH won by 6 wickets against CSK. The next match will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Sunday.

With contributions from Travis Head's 102 runs (41 balls) and Heinrich Klaasen's 67 runs (31 balls), SRH amassed the highest-ever total (287-3) in the history of the competition. The host team narrowed the gap of defeat to 25 runs thanks to a brilliant start from the RCB openers and a late surge from Dinesh Karthik. With an aggregate score of 549 at the end of the contest, it was the highest T20 game ever.

This season, SRH have shown off their merciless batting, and their most recent assault came against Delhi Capitals (DC). The SRH batting lineup bundled out the opposition for 199 runs, giving their bowlers enough of runs (266) to defend. With five victories in seven games, Pat Cummins and his squad sit third in the standings. However, RCB beat SRH by 35 runs in their last match.

Here's the probable playing XI for SRH against CSK in match 46 of IPL 2024:

Openers: Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head

Without a question, the IPL 2024 opening duo has been in the best for so far in the tournament. These two left-handers are seriously power-hitting the opposition's bowlers, making a joke of them as many teams want a left-right opening combination. In nearly every game they have played thus far, the two have gotten off to lightning-fast starts for SRH.

Travis Head has 324 runs at an average of 54.00 and a strike rate of 216.00, which presently places him in sixth place on the Orange cap list. After smashing a fast 32-ball 89 and a feisty century, the Australian will aim to destroy the RCB bowlers once more. Abhishek Sharma, his partner on the other end, doesn't say anything either. The youthful player came within a whisker of matching the record for a half-century off 12 balls set by the great Yuvraj Singh in the previous game. Thus far, the untapped Indian has amassed 257 runs at an astounding strike rate of 215.97.

Middle Order: Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klassen (wk) and Abdul Samad

Thus far, the brilliant form of their top order has been well-complemented by the SRH middle order. Although Aiden Markram has not scored many runs this season, the Proteas hitter has been spot on in terms of quickening the scoring pace. However, Heinrich Klaasen is also the main asset for SRH in the middle overs.

These big-hitters will take care of the rest after the openers set the stage for an enormous total. In seven games, Klaasen has amassed 275 runs at an average of 45.83 and a strike rate of 199.27, thanks to 26 devastating sixes. Abdul Samad was given the finishing job and made an impression every time he had the opportunity. The right-hander, who bats in the lower order, has a massive strike rate of 211.47 and has scored 129 runs.

All-rounders: Shahbaz Ahmed and Nitish Kumar Reddy

Shahbaz Ahmed's decisive knock in the game versus DC solidified his reputation in this category. When it appeared that SRH would easily reach 250 or more, Delhi Capitals' bowlers put a stop to the scoring pace by taking early wickets. To get the team to 266 though, Shahbaz Ahmed produced an incredible cameo (59* off 29 balls).

Shahbaz may potentially be a valuable bowler in the middle innings, but he must rein in his run-leaking. For SRH, the season's best find is Nitish Kumar Reddy. Against Punjab, the 20-year-old displayed his talent with a strong 64 runs off of 37 balls. He has been contributing so much at the bat, and in the most recent game, he demonstrated his bowling ability by taking two wickets in his two overs.

Captain Pat Cummins will front the pace assault, which includes Jaydev Unadkat and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Additionally, T Natarajan, who enters as an Impact Player might assist the trio. Cummins had claimed three wickets in their prior matchup with the RCB. However, this season has not seen Bhuvneshwar perform his best yet. The last time he faced RCB, he gave up 60 runs and went without a wicket.

Undakat's form particularly in the latter overs is also concerning when he gives up a lot of runs. Natarajan, meanwhile, has amassed 10 wickets in five innings thus far and is playing well. Notably, he took four wickets with just 19 runs conceded in the previous game against DC. The spin department will be managed by Mayank Markande. In the last two games, the leg-spinner claimed four wickets; most notably, he got rid of Rajat Paditar and Virat Kohli in the RCB vs. SRH encounter.
