5. CSK - Ajinkya Rahane
Ajinkya Rahane could not replicate what he did for CSK in 2023. The right-handed batter had a brilliant SR in 2023. But in 2024, he was a bit slower than he should have been despite the nature of the wickets in Chennai. Despite getting a promotion up the order, Rahane could not bat well and cost some matches for CSK.
4. RCB - Glenn Maxwell
Glenn Maxwell did well with the ball. But he had a poor season as a batter for RCB. His best score in the entire season was not even 20. His knock against CSK was the only instance which had any impact on the game. Otherwise, the Australian perished early more often than not. RCB had a void in the middle order due to the same reason.
3. RR - Dhruv Jurel
After having a good debut season for RR in 2023, Dhruv Jurel failed to live up to the expectations in 2024. Coming into the IPL, he had a brilliant form doing well in the Test series against England. Unfortunately, the form could not translate into good performances for RR. He had only one fifty to his name and failed to perform in many matches.
2. SRH - Aiden Markram
Aiden Markram had a poor season for SRH. The right-handed batter batted decently in the first few games. But later in the tournament, he fell off the radar and could not live up to the expectations. The fact that SRH had an insane barring lineup and he could not be at his best meant that they could not have a reliable number 3.
1. KKR - Rinku Singh
KKR had a near perfect team. Unfortunately, their best player from the last season, Rinku Singh, was not at his best. He was in no way a BSD player. However, given how other players from KKR performed, his bad form in the second half became a talking point. Due to a lack of chances, he did not get a lot of opportunities.
