2. Marcus Stoinis

Coming in from the Delhi Capitals ahead of IPL 2022, expectations were high for Stoinis to deliver for the newly-born franchise. However, it didn't work out for him. Nonetheless, the seasons to follow really signified the utility of Stoinis, as it could be clearly seen that LSG did not just use him as a middle-order hitter, but as a full-fledged batter by promoting him up the order.

The most encouraging aspect of Stoinis' batting was the fact that the proactiveness didn't diminish, which could be seen in his strike rate of 147.52 and 150 in the 2023 (408 runs) and 2024 (388 runs) editions, respectively. The biggest factor adding up in his favour is the endless list of T20 experience the all-rounder possesses, which could prompt the franchise to retain him.
