Delhi Capitals will take on Rajasthan Royals in a must-win game for the Rishabh Pant-led side in match 56 of the Indian Premier League. After a bad start to the season, the Capitals have made a valiant comeback to form and won five games so far. 

Rajasthan Royals who have played blemish-free cricket so far lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last match by 1 run. On Sunday their number 1 spot was usurped by Kolkata Knight Riders after Shreyas Iyer’s side beat Lucknow Super Giants by 98 runs.

This blockbuster clash is set to take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday night. The venue has seen a lot of records being made and broken this year already and with the quality both teams have there is anticipation of yet another humdinger of a contest.

Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson began his career with the Kolkata Knight Riders but didn’t get a game. The youngster then moved to Rajasthan Royals where he played for three seasons before moving to Delhi Capitals for two more seasons. The Capitals side let Samson go at the end of the IPL 2017 season before he made his return to Rajasthan Royals.

Sanju Samson has played a total of 134 matches with the Royals and scored 3596 runs with 2 centuries and 21 fifties. His average stands at 31 while his strike rate reads a healthy 141. With the Delhi Capitals, Sanju Samson had played 28 matches and scored 677 runs with a century and three half-centuries with an average of 27 and a strike rate of 127.
