In the 52nd match of the IPL 2024, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will be up against Gujarat Titans (GT). The match is set to take place at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday, May 4 at 7:30 PM (IST). Both teams have had a similar journey in the league so far. While GT has four wins to their name in 10 matches, RCB has just three to their name in as many matches. They are amongst the worst-placed teams in the league so far and have their task cut out.
For both teams, it will be a must-win situation. For RCB, it has been so in the last three games. While they lost to KKR by a solitary run, the three-time finalists have won both their matches since then, one of them being against GT themselves. The visiting side has lost four of their last five matches. For them, a win will not just be a confidence booster, but will also help their net run rate, which has collapsed badly after losing by huge margins against RCB and other teams.
Both teams have some of the best players in the world in their lineup. While some of them are established in the league, others are established at the international level. They also have some exciting talents who have done well for them. Over the last few seasons, there have been some RCB players who played for GT and vice versa. While some of them did well for GT, others did well for RCB. A few of them have not played enough for either of those teams as well.
