The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for the last 17 years has been producing great talents for India. This year, with the winding-up of the league stage, teams such as Mumbai, Delhi, Karnataka, Bengal, Punjab, and Hyderabad have advanced to the knockout stage with some courageous displays from young guns. Playing 7 matches in the competition, Tewatia scalped 14 wickets at an amazing economy of 6.18. His 3-wicket hauls against Meghalaya, Kerala, and Arunachal Pradesh show his effectiveness with the ball. In the knockout stage of the marquee event, Tewatia has to continue with his all-round performance to help Haryana win the title for the first time. 8. Shahbaz Ahmed In the first round of the tournament, Shahbaz had some impressive outings with the bat. When it comes to batting, his performance as a middle-order batter has won the hearts of the team management and supporters. Siddharth Kaul This year, Siddharth Kaul of Punjab is a leading wicket-taker in the group stage of the tournament. In 7 matches of the edition, Kaul picked up 16 wickets at an average of 9.88. In the group stage, he delivered consistently by picking wickets for the team at crucial points of the games. Against Puducherry, the bowler showcased his beast mode by taking a fifer. This season, the 32-year-old Kaul with his swing bowling outfoxed batters. Punjab is also reaping the fruits of his vast experience. Kaul for the last 15 years has been active in the game and was also a part of the squad that won the Under-19 World Cup in 2008. During his Under-19 World Cup campaign, Kaul was one of the significant players for the team as he was one of the crucial match-winners. VijayKumar Vyshak VijayKumar Vyshak has come out as the best bowler for Karnataka in this tournament. In the group stage, he delivered a top-notch performance by bagging 15 wickets in the 7 games. The 25-year-old’s ability to take wickets and bowl economically in the league stage played a vital role to take Karnataka to the knockout level of the competition.
