T20 World Cup 2022: 3 Injury prone players India should take care of ahead of the tournament
Jasprit Bumrah will reportedly miss the T20 World Cup 2022 due to injury concerns recently.
3. Harshal Patel
Harshal Patel recently returned back from his injury into the Indian squad for the T20I series against Australia and South Africa. The 31-year-old has been splendid with the ball since his international debut last year and has taken the onus of bowling the tough overs for his side. The all-rounder who plays for the Royal Challengers Bangalore has been assigned specific roles in death overs and he has come out on top on most occasions.
Patel has had two back-to-back excellent IPL seasons for his franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore and it helped his inclusion in the national squad. He can go for runs at times, but picks up a lot of wickets in the middle overs which is a key part of a team’s success.
Coming to injuries, Patel suffered a blow to his rib and was ruled out of the Asia Cup 2022 recently. He also missed the last few games of the West Indies tour and it had taken more than a month for him to recover. He had to undergo rehabilitation at the NCA, but his return hasn’t been that fruitful. The management will focus on Patel’s fitness after the recent blunder that happened with Bumrah.
