The Three Lions then locked horns against Ireland and were chasing a target of 158. The pair of Jos Buttler and Alex Hales were again dismissed early, while other batters could not deliver well in terms of strike rate. As a result, they lost just by five runs according to the DLS method, before the rain arrived. England’s latest outing against Australia was abandoned due to rain.

In the second game against England, they came with positive intent and had a good first half. In the end, &nbsp;they finished with a total of 157. In reply, the Three Lions fell short of five runs by the DLS method, and Ireland players celebrated the historic victory. Their latest fixture against Afghanistan ended as a washout.

In the first game against South Africa, they had a bad start but managed to score 79 in nine overs, with support from Wesley Madhevere. In reply, the South African team were racing to victory, but the rain forced the match to be abandoned.
In the second game against Pakistan, they got off to a quick start amassing 48 runs in six overs. However, they could finally score 130, which was only a respectable total. Then, the bowlers produced spirited performances to procure a hard-fought win by one run for them.

The complete team performances helped them clinch the Asia Cup 2022 title as well. In this tournament as well, they have done well with the bat as well.
The first game against the Irish team witnessed them restricting the opposition to 128. In reply, the top-order batters were proficient with their display to guide the team onto the right path and win the game with five overs still left.
Then, they faced Australia and posted 157 on the board, with spirited performances from Pathum Nissanka and Charith Asalanka. In the second half, they did well with the ball, but the home team secured a victory.
<h3>3. South Africa - 7.5</h3>

In the first game against Zimbabwe, they needed to chase 64 in seven overs. In a matter of three overs, Quinton de Kock blasted his way to help South Africa score 51 runs in three overs, but the incessant rain forced the game to be abandoned.
The second game against Bangladesh saw them posting 205 on the board, with Rilee Rossouw and Quinton as the top contributors. Afterwards, the bowlers were proficient with their performances to seal the game by a margin of 104 runs.
<h3>2. India - 8.5</h3>

One of the favourites to win the trophy, <a href="http://www.crictracker.com/cricket-teams/india" target="_blank" rel="noopener">India</a> have been the best side in the tournament owing to their terrific performances. They have two wins in two league games beating Pakistan and the Netherlands.
India faced their arch-rivals Pakistan in their first outing in the T20 World Cup, wherein they conceded 159. In reply, the Men in Blue succumbed to the pressure in the first 10 overs. However, the pair of Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya led the recovery, and the former delivered a terrific effort to secure a victory from the jaws of defeat.
In the second game against the Netherlands, the captain Rohit Sharma provided a good start, while the duo of Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav were proficient to see India posting 179 on the board. In response, the Dutch team could only score 114, and India won the game by 56 runs.
<h3>1. New Zealand- 9</h3>

The New Zealand team are a clinical side, who have been doing well across all the formats with fine balance in both departments. In this showpiece event as well, they started off on a strong note, and are expected to continue their momentum.
In the first game against <a href="http://www.crictracker.com/cricket-teams/australia">Australia</a>, Devon Conway played an anchor role, while other batters like Finn Allen and Jimmy Neesham were his strong support which paved way for them to post 200 on the board. Then, the bowlers were impressive to restrict the Aussie team to dismiss Australia for 111.
Their second game against Afghanistan ended as a washout. However, they are still at top of the table owing to a better net run-rate. It will be interesting to see their progression in the tournament ahead.
