The much-awaited T20 World Cup 2022 is just around the corner. All the participating teams have announced their best squads that will feature in the T20 extravaganza in Australia. Every player dreams to represent his nation at the grandest stage of them all but the aspirations of only few are fulfilled keeping in mind various combinations and situations.

Moreover, it is not certain that teams will give opportunities to every player that is present in their arsenal. Team management generally pick their best XI and make necessary changes around it if needed. Thus a player can unfortunately be benched for the entire tournament. Let us look at-

One player from each side who might not get a single game in T20 WC

8. Bangladesh - Hasan Mahmud

Hasan Mahmud has been one of the exciting prospects in Bangladesh’s white-ball circuit. The 22-year-old caught everyone’s eyeballs with his ability to clock a speed of over 140 kmph. He has played a total of 25 T20 games and taken 24 wickets at an economy of 8.05.

Bangladesh drafted the youngster in their World Cup squad to provide variety to the bowling attack. However, Mahmud has not been given many chances despite performing well in the limited outings. He has played just three games for Bangladesh in the shortest format and has taken three wickets at an impressive economy of 6.58.

Also, in the recently concluded series against UAE which was a dress rehearsal for the marquee event, Mahmud was not given a chance by Bangladesh’s think tank. On the other hand, the rest of the four seamers were given game time. With the speedster quite low in the pecking order, it does not appear that he will get a game in the global tournament.
