Australia (AUS) is all set to continue its ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 campaign by taking on Namibia (NAM). Both sides will lock horns in match 24 of the tournament at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua on Tuesday, June 11. Led by Mitchell Marsh, the Aussies put in a brilliant performance in their previous game against England. 

As the clash against Namibia approaches, Australia will aim to field a similar lineup in their upcoming game.


Here is the Predicted AUS XI for Match 24 against NAM: 

Openers: David Warner and Travis Head

Australia will aim to open with the duo of David Warner and Travis Head once again. Warner looked in sublime form in the previous game against England as the veteran batter scored 39 runs in 16 deliveries. The star batter will look to put in a similar performance once again. 

Travis Head has been in impeccable form as of late, after demolishing bowlers in the IPL, Head followed it up by scoring 34 runs in 18 deliveries in the previous game against England. The duo of batters will look to propel the Men in Yellow to another good start.

Middle Order: Mitchell Marsh (C), Tim David, Matthew Wade (WK)

Australia’s middle order will consist of the likes of skipper Mitchell Marsh, Tim David, and wicketkeeper Matthew Wade. Marsh scored 35 runs in 25 deliveries in his previous game and even bowled three overs, where he was unable to take any wickets. The skipper will look to make a more crucial impact with the ball against Namibia. 

Star batter Tim David will look to anchor Australia’s middle order, having scored 30 runs in his previous game, and looked to be in brilliant flow. The ace batter will aim to propel Australia to big totals in the latter stages of the game. 

Matthew Wade will be completing Australia’s middle order, with 17* runs in his previous game, Wade had a short cameo for the Men in Yellow in his last game, and he will hope for a longer stay at the crease in the next game.

All-rounders: Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell

Australia’s all-rounders could be Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell against Namibia. Both players looked to be in exceptional form in the previous game, Stoinis put in a brilliant performance in the game against England, scoring 30 runs in 17 deliveries and taking one wicket in the process as well. 

Glenn Maxwell could be the second all-rounder in Australia’s lineup, with 28 runs and no wickets in the previous game, Maxwell will hope for an improved performance in the upcoming clash. 


Bowlers: Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood

Australia’s bowling attack could see the likes of Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood as the pacers, with Adam Zampa being the sole specialist spinner. With two wickets in four overs, Cummins conceded 23 runs in his spell and was one of the best bowlers. 

Mitchell Starc had a forgettable outing for Australia in the previous game, bowling three overs, Starc conceded 37 runs and did not manage to take any wickets.

Adam Zampa put in a Player of the Match performance in his previous game for Australia, bowling four overs, Zampa conceded 28 runs and took two brilliant wickets. 

Josh Hazlewood took one wicket as well and contributed to Australia’s win, he will hope to put in another good showing in the upcoming game.
