2. Shivam Dube (India)
Shivam Dube's selection was somewhat controversial as he usurped the spot of Rinku Singh. Since being named in India's 15-man World Cup squad, Dube has been dismissed for single-digit scores in the IPL 2024. Known for his big-hitting prowess in the middle overs, the southpaw failed to shine in the World Cup warm-up match and the first two league matches. However, the young all-rounder, to some extent, managed to gain a bit of confidence with an unbeaten 31 off 35 in India's win over the USA.

1. Will Jacks (England)
Will Jacks was expected to be England's trump card in the ongoing World Cup, especially after his heroics in IPL 2024. The right-hander showcased his ability to take the game away from the opposition single-handedly with some ruthless batting displays.

But his performance in the mega event was against expectations, scoring just 15 runs in two innings. He was also dropped from the Playing XI for England's final group-stage match against Namibia.
