The absence of bids for these players shows the teams have moved on from them and are looking for new and fresh talents. Meanwhile, for these unsold players, a good part is the replacement policy. With the possibility of injury replacements, there's still a chance to be back in the league. However, the T20 game’s changing demands have outpaced his conventional style. Troubled by injuries, Williamson's availability has been limited in recent years. He featured in just one IPL game in 2023 and two in 2024, with similar constraints impacting his international T20 appearances. Williamson's last stint was with the 2022 Champions Gujarat Titans. 1.
