Shweta Sehrawat has been a regular feature in the UPW Playing XI, but it is a question whether she has been utilized to the best of her abilities. The 20-year-old had a stellar campaign in the U-19 T20 World Cup 2023, in which India emerged victorious. At an average of 99, the opening batter amassed a total of 297 runs from seven matches to become the tournament's top scorer.

UPW were not short of openers and that did not give the youngster a chance to open the innings for the franchise in WPL 2024. Sehrawat, who batted in the middle order, performed well in the first two matches but failed to continue the form in the remainder of the series.
