The 2024 Women’s Premier League (WPL) concluded with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) lifting the trophy after thumping Delhi Capitals (DC) by eight wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. 5. Marizanne Kapp’s 3/5 against UP Warriorz (DC)
South Africa’s Marizanne Kapp spearheaded DC’s pace attack with confidence in the competition. The Protea grabbed 11 wickets in seven games at an economy of 6.28 and ended up as the fourth-leading wicket-taker in the tournament.
Against UP Warriorz (UPW), she looked formidable and powered her team to a comfortable nine-wicket victory. In her four-over spell, she picked up 3/5 figures which included Vrinda Dinesh, Tahlia McGrath, and Alyssa Healy. Her plucky bowling performance helped Delhi to fold UPW on 119. The right-arm bowler also received the Player of the Match award for her stunning bowling show.
