9. Shweta Sehrawat
Shweta Sehrawat hit the headlines after her extraordinary batting display in the 2023 Women’s U-19 T20 World Cup. Her scintillating performance helped India lift the distinguished trophy and Sehrawat became famous in the cricketing circle. In the maiden WPL auction, UP Warriorz (UPW) snapped her up for INR 40 lakh.
The youngster failed to justify her price tag with her dismal performance in the competition but the UPW team management didn’t part ways with her. This year, she was expected to take advantage of the opportunity and deliver big numbers to her side. However, the 20-year-old again failed to prove herself. Appearing in eight games, she scored only 108 runs at a strike rate of 101.88 and an average of 15.42.
