7. Bangladesh vs England, 2015 World Cup

Bangladesh fought England in the 33rd match of the 2015 World Cup. The seam-friendly conditions in Australia suited the Three Lions more than they did Mortaza & co. But to everyone’s surprise, the Bangla Tigers outplayed the Eoin Morgan-led side at the Adelaide Oval to register a famous win.

Batting first, Bangladesh posted 275 runs on the board riding on Mahmudullah’s blistering ton and Mushfiqur Rahim’s breathtaking knock of 89 runs in 77 deliveries. Chasing 276, England had a solid start but Rubel Hossain and Mortaza pulled things back for their side with regular wickets putting Morgan & co. in a spot of bother at 132 for 5.

Jos Buttler (65 runs off 52 balls) and Chris Woakes (42* runs off 40 balls) led England's comeback to take the game deep. England required 16 runs off 12 balls and had two wickets in hand with Woakes still at the crease. The game could have gone either way but Rubel held his nerve to clinch the final two scalps and Bangladesh won the game by 15 runs.
