5. Harshal Patel
Royal Challengers Bangalore traded Harshal Patel from Delhi Capitals ahead of the 14th edition of the cash-rich league. It proved to be a masterstroke as the right-arm pacer bamboozled batters with his variations and ripped through top-quality attacks for fun.
Harshal featured in 15 matches in the 2021 season and bagged a staggering tally of 32 wickets at an economy of 8.14. He was a force to reckon with at the fag end of the innings and therefore, India included him into the T20I set-up to address their death-bowling concerns.
However, Harshal has not been at his best in the international circuit. Though he has bagged 29 wickets in 25 T20Is, the Sanand-born has leaked runs at an economy of 9.18. Owing to his mediocre showings, the Indian pacer has been sidelined from the national team.
