4. Shreyas Iyer

Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) signed a young budding cricketer in Shreyas Iyer at the IPL 2015 auction for INR 2.6 crore. The Mumbai-born justified his hefty price tag and lit the eighth edition of the lucrative T20 tournament with his batting exploits. He aggregated 439 runs in 14 games at a strike rate of 128.36.

Shreyas also displayed his class in the 2017 season and racked up 338 runs in 12 games at a strike rate of 139.09, which includes two half-centuries. The Indian selectors were impressed by his performances and drafted Iyer into the national team for the white-ball formats. He made his first appearance for the Men in Blue on November 2017.

Shreyas has grabbed his opportunity with both hands and has been a run-bank with the bat for the Men in Blue. He has featured in 42 ODIs and accumulated 1631 runs at an average of 46.60. When it comes to the shortest format, the Indian batter has scored 1043 runs in 49 T20Is at a strike rate of 135.98.
