3. Axar Patel
Axar Patel created a lot of buzz in the 2014 season of the T20 extravaganza with his performances. The Anand-born was impeccable with his lines and lengths and provided Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) with timely wickets.
Axar featured in 17 IPL games and bagged as many wickets at an excellent economy of 6.13. His fabulous bowling displays were one of the reasons for Punjab reaching the summit clash. Also, he was no muck with bat and played a couple of crucial cameos slotting in lower down the order. Courtesy of his performances, the southpaw made his way through to the national side and made his ODI debut in July 2014.
Axar has been a proven performer for the Men in Blue across formats. He has bagged 58 wickets in 51 ODIs and scored 412 runs at a strike rate of 104.30. When it comes to the T20Is, the Indian all-rounder has taken 37 scalps in 40 games and scored 288 runs at a superb strike rate of 152.38.
