Mumbai Indians left no stone unturned to pick Suryakumar Yadav at the IPL 2018 auction and signed him for INR 3.20 crore. MI’s investment bore fruit as the right-handed batter was phenomenal with the bat and accumulated 512 runs in 14 games at a strike rate of 133.33.

Suryakumar again put up an exhibition of his innovative stroke-play in the 12th edition of the T20 carnival and blasted 424 runs in 16 games at a strike rate of 130.86. The ace batter carried on his good work for the Mumbai side and established his supremacy in the following season, hammering 480 runs in 16 matches at a strike rate of 145.01.

Suryakumar earned his maiden international call-up courtesy of his mind-boggling performances in the IPL arena. Since his arrival in the international circuit, the 360-degree batter has toyed with top-quality attacks and left the world in awe of his batting exploits. He has featured in 48 T20Is and plundered 1675 runs at a jaw-dropping strike rate of 175.76.
