1. Eoin Morgan (Ireland & England)
Former cricketer Eoin Morgan started his international career while playing for Ireland at the age of 19. With 744 runs in 23 ODIs, Morgan served Ireland efficiently with his bat. The southpaw was also part of Ireland's 2007 World Cup team that pulled off a stunning victory against the heavyweights Pakistan.
In 2009, Morgan appeared for England in the T20 World Cup and joined the list of cricketers who played for two countries in international cricket. In 2010, he was part of the Paul Collingwood-led England side that clinched the T20 World Cup title. In December 2014, he was appointed England’s white-ball captain after Alastair Cook’s dismal performance as skipper.
In 2015, Morgan faced the lowest point of his career as skipper after his team crashed out of the 2015 World Cup without qualifying for the knockout stage. After the embarrassing exit from the mega event, he revamped England’s ODI squad to get positive results.
In the 2019 World Cup, England created history under his captaincy after winning their first One Day World Cup title. Last year, Morgan hung his boots after his inconsistent batting displays for England.
