Sanjay Yadav is an important part of Tamil Nadu in the domestic circle. The 28-year-old batter has racked up 533 runs and 19 wickets for Tamil Nadu in 33 T20 contests. Witnessing his capability in domestic cricket, Mumbai Indians (MI) invested INR 50 lakhs in Sanjay at the 2022 auction.

In TNPL, Sanjay is a star player as he has proved his potential with his bat several times. In 2019, he concluded his season as the second-leading run-getter for VB Kanchi Veerans, scoring 241 runs with two half-centuries in seven innings of eight matches at a decent strike rate of 136.15

His best performance came in the previous edition of the league when he smashed 452 runs in nine matches at a jaw-dropping strike rate of 186.177. With these numbers, he also ended up as the highest run-scorer in the tournament.
