3. Mashrafe Mortaza

Mashrafe Mortaza, the trailblazer of Bangladesh cricket, especially in the last decade, remained a consistent wicket-taker across all formats. His leadership qualities and never-say-die attitude certainly inspired the youngsters.

Kolkata Knights Riders splurged a whopping $600,000 to secure the services of Mortaza in the 2009 edition. However, he featured in only a solitary game against Deccan Chargers in Match 48 at Johannesburg. The right-arm pacer conceded 58 runs off four overs while conceding 21 runs off the last over, which resulted in Knight Riders losing the game.

Mortaza then could not feature in any of the IPL games until playing his last international game in 2020. Despite facing multiple injury concerns, he went on to pick 389 wickets across all international formats.
