2. 4/8 vs West Indies in 2001, 2000–01 Australia Tri-Nation Series
Zimbabwe toured Australia in January 2001 to participate in the ODI tri-series that involved them, Australia and the West Indies. After losing their first match against the Caribbeans in the second game of the competition, Zimbabwe faced the Jimmy Adams-led West Indies at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) in match six.
Streak, who was the Zimbabwe captain then, lost the toss to his counterpart Adams and the Windies skipper invited Zimbabwe to bat first. Confronting the powerful West Indies bowlers, Streak and his boys were bundled out on 138 in 47.2 overs. After putting up a low score on the board, Zimbabwe were expected to be on the losing side again.
However, Streak, who powered his team with his 45-run knock off 70, spearheaded his team's bowling unit and remained unplayable till the end of the game. Playing the role of a destroyer-in-chief, the pacer helped his side to wrap the West Indies innings on 91, with his match-winning 4/8. At the end of the game, he also received the Player of the Match award, for his outstanding batting and bowling displays.
