Team Pakistan completed an easy victory over South Africa in their second last group-stage encounter of the T20 World Cup 2022. With this win, the Men in Green have kept their hopes alive for qualifying in the next stage of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Pakistan skipper's poor form with the bat continued as the right-handed batter managed to score only six runs and took 15 balls before getting dismissed. Earlier in the tournament, Babar bagged a golden duck against India and he could not get going even against Zimbabwe after being sent back to the pavilion by pacer Brad Evans with Pakistan suffering a humiliating defeat at the hands of Zimbabwe.

Not only his batting but several questions have also been raised on his captaincy and squad selection. The likes of Gautam Gambhir and Wasim Akram have questioned Babar's leadership skills. With Pakistan most probably out of the T20 World Cup, the PCB might be looking to make a change in its leadership group. In this article, we will take a look at three options for who could possibly replace Babar as a skipper.

3. Mohammad Rizwan

Mohammad Rizwan has become Pakistan's first-choice wicket-keeper across all three formats. The right-handed batter has not been able to show his full form in the T20 World Cup, but he has been amongst the runs.

Rizwan has played over 150 matches for his country across all three formats of the game and he continues to hold a crucial position in the Men in Green squad. One of the advantages that Rizwan holds among others is that he is a wicketkeeper and has the best vision to understand the game on the field.

Rizwan has also captained several domestic sides in Pakistan and he can be groomed as a possible captain for the Men in Green in the upcoming days.
