1. Ravindra Jadeja
India's premium all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja could be axed from the ODI setup concerning the bigger picture. This exclusion may come as a shock to cricket fans, but Jadeja himself would be disappointed with the kind of performance he had in this World Cup campaign. With the World Cup at home, expectations were high of him to deliver something special like Yuvraj Singh did for India in the successful 2011 campaign.
Jadeja's batting in tough situations has come under the radar once again. His struggle against quality bowling looked as clear as daylight. The way India are trying to be batting heavy, they may look forward to Axar Patel. If they target the upcoming World Cup, they will need to start gearing him up.
Jadeja going wicketless in the two most important matches of India's campaign arguably affected the result. He could go out for the same reason he was left out from the squad post the Champions Trophy. He still has a lot to give in this format. But if India's thinktank thinks about a long-term project, Jadeja could miss out on the bus.
