1. Ajinkya Rahane

Ajinkya Rahane is going through a rough patch as this year he not only got stripped of Test vice-captaincy but also lost his spot in the Indian Test team. In the 15th edition of the cash-rich league, Rahane got picked up by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at his base price of INR 1 crore at the mega auction. But the veteran couldn’t justify that as he aggregated only 133 runs in seven games at an extremely ordinary strike rate of 103.91.

Last month, he featured on the release list of KKR due to which he is now going to take part at the 2023 mini-auction at a base price of INR 50 lakhs to play in the 16th edition of the league. However, looking at his recent outings in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022-23 also, it's unlikely that he might find a buyer.

Before his lean patch, Rahane was one of the most proficient players in the league due to his incredible show with the bat. Till 2019, he was really good as a batter, but since the 2020 season, his batting hasn’t been up to the mark.
