1. Sikandar Raza
2022 was an excellent year for Zimbabwe player Sikandar Raza. The veteran hit the headlines after picking up 3/25 bowling figures against Pakistan in his team’s historic victory in the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup. The skilled all-rounder proved his worth to the team in the marquee event, amassing 219 runs and ten wickets in eight contests.
Considering his notable performance in the T20 extravaganza, PBKS signed him at his base price of INR 50 lakh in the IPL 2023 auction. The 36-year-old will look to grab this opportunity with both hands and deliver solid all-around numbers to his franchise. He performs brilliantly for Lahore Qalandars with his bat in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Piling up 222 runs in 11 contests at a jaw-dropping strike rate of 181.96, he has played a significant role in taking his team to the tournament’s final. Noting his batting display on the sub-continent surfaces, his IPL franchise PBKS will expect him to show his best for them in the huge T20 event.
