2. Shakib Al Hasan- Most capped Bangladesh player in T20 World Cup history
The experienced all-rounder has been a legendary figure in Bangladesh Cricket due to his track record and performances. Shakib Al Hasan is the top-scorer for the team in the T20 WC history with 698 runs and has picked up the most wickets (41) as well. Interestingly, the 35-year-old holds the record for taking the most T20I wickets (122) as well.
This edition of the T20 WC will witness him adding another feather to his cap. So far, Shakib has been a part of 31 matches in the mega event since the 2007 edition. On the flip side, Mushfiqur Rahim, who recently retired from T20Is featured in 33 T20 World Cup matches.
With a minimum of five matches scheduled to be played at the 2022 edition for Bangladesh, Shakib will become the most capped player for the Tigers in the T20 World Cup history. Furthermore, he will don the role of a captain and would look to continue his rich form in the tournament and lead Bangladesh to victories on most occasions.
