2. Deepak Chahar
Deepak Chahar was associated with Chennai Super Kings since 2018 and the pacer held the utmost allegiance to the franchise. But as mega auctions beckoned, CSK had to make a tough call and release the right-arm pacer. They raised their paddle multiple times to assume his services again, but Mumbai Indians were adamant in signing him for IPL 2025.
Chahar has been grappling with injuries for a long time now. He incurred a hamstring injury in IPL 2023 and was out of the team for a major chunk of the time. He also got injured ahead of IPL 2024 and came back only later. MI have bought him for 9.25 crore, and though his swinging capabilities are unquestionable, his getting injured again is a point of concern. He could be a great asset in the powerplay as well as in the death overs.
