3 players who might not feature in IPL 2025 due to injury
The auction took place at the Abady Al Johar Arena in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on November 24 and 25.
1. Jofra Archer
Jofra Archer was bought by Mumbai Indians in 2022 for eight crore. He eventually skipped the whole season owing to an injury. Subsequently, he played only four matches in the 2023 season and missed most of the games due to an elbow injury. He was released by MI ahead of the IPL 2024 mini-auction and the player decided not to feature in the auction. There were three more additions made to the IPL 2025 auction list at the last moment and Archer was one of them.
Archer entered the fray at a base price of 2 crore and Rajasthan Royals were interested in him from the start. The pacer inked a deal with RR for a whopping 12.5 crore. It is worth noting that the right-arm pacer represented RR from 2018 to 2020. He will be back in the pink jersey after four years. Playing three seasons for the Royals, he has picked 46 wickets from 35 matches at an average of 21.32 at an impressive economy of 7.13.
