Arun Karthik is counted among the best players in the league. The veteran was part of the Siechem Madurai Panthers (SMP) till the 2022 edition. After his team’s disappointing performance in the initial two seasons, Karthik played a pivotal role in SMP’s maiden title triumph in the third installment of the league.

Notching up 472 runs with six half-centuries in 10 matches at a strike rate of 153.74, he powered Panthers to win their maiden trophy and also became the highest run-getter in the competition. In the final match of the tournament, he became the Player of the Match for holding his nerves and taking his side home with his stunning 75-run knock off just 50 deliveries.

For his magnificent batting display in the tournament, he also received the Player of the Series award. In 2019, Madurai failed to defend the title but this time, his performance was fabulous as he ended up as the third-leading run-scorer in the tournament, amassing 356 runs in nine matches at a strike rate of 148.95. In the 2022 installment, Karthik became the best batter for Panthers with 293 runs in eight matches at a strike rate of 127.39. This year, he will play for Nellai Royal Kings (NRK), and for his new team, his endeavours might be to continue his decent form in the league and end his career on a high note.
