3 Players who missed out from India's Test squad for Bangladesh tour
India play three ODIs and two tests against Bangladesh in December.
The BCCI under the chairman of selectors of the All-India Senior Selection Committee Chetan Sharma officially announced the squads for the tours to New Zealand and Bangladesh later in November and December this year. India and Bangladesh are set to lock horns, first in the One Day Internationals (ODI) format followed by the longest format of the sport, in two-match Test series.
The Men in Blue last played Test cricket back in July this year against England that marked the fifth and the final match of the five match series. While there are quite a few players making their return to the national side since their last test outing against England, there are others who appear to have been overlooked by the apex cricketing board of India.
Squad for Bangladesh Tests:
Rohit Sharma (C), KL Rahul (VC), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (wk), KS Bharat (wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Shardul Thakur, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, Umesh Yadav.

3. Ajinkya Rahane
Ajinkya Rahane has not been included in the squad released by the BCCI in the forthcoming tour to Bangladesh. The veteran batter is currently playing in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and has been named as the captain of the Mumbai team in the knockout rounds.
The Mumbai batter is known to be calm on the field that is a trait much required in the longest format of the game. Moreover, he has helped the side to churn out the runs in the format when given an opportunity and provide vital knocks.
Rahane’s perspective in the 5-day long format has been much appreciated as he gives his side a different dimension with the bat. Considering his vast experience in the test format, overlooking Rahane may not have been the best of decisions.
