1. KL Rahul
KL Rahul is one of the top-drawer batters going around in the Indian cricketing circles. He has dismantled top-quality attacks with his marauding bat and piled on runs for fun. The 30-year-old has plundered 2265 runs in 72 T20Is at a strike rate of 139.12. Talking about the 50-over format, he has scored 1870 runs in 51 games for the Men in Blue at a strike rate of 87.34.
Rahul fared well in the recently concluded ODI series against Sri Lanka and scored 110 runs in three matches. It includes a high-pressure knock of 64* runs off 103 deliveries he played in the second game of the series to take India across the line. Also, he did a good job behind the stumps.
Rahul is presently India’s first-choice wicketkeeper-batter in ODIs. However, the Bangalore-born will miss the upcoming white-ball assignment against New Zealand due to family commitments. Ishan Kishan is likely to don the gloves in the ace batter’s absence.
