5. Tamim Iqbal
Tamim Iqbal joined the national side in 2007 and since then, he has become a prime batter of Bangladesh and has played many memorable innings in ODIs. In the team, his role is to deliver ideal starts with his ferocious batting attitude, and over the years, he has done the same brilliantly.
The Southpaw, in the continental cup, has delivered some remarkable knocks for the team. His crucial contribution of 70 runs to the team to beat the Men in Blue by five wickets in the 2012 Asia Cup is still one of the best memories for Bangladesh supporters.
While in the same edition, he won the hearts of Bangladeshi fans again by scoring 59 off 57 deliveries to hammer Sri Lanka for the first time in the Asia Cup. Next year, Asia Cup will most likely return in the ODI format again, and looking at his record, it can be said that Tamim will be key for Bangladesh again to fare well in the event.
