While changing nationality is a very common phenomenon in football, it is not that frequent in cricket but it (cricket) too has witnessed several instances where a player has represented two different nations. Eoin Morgan, the 2019 World Cup-winning captain (of England) is arguably the best example of players, who have represented two nations.
However, the recently retired cricketer never played a T20I for Ireland and thus, doesn’t feature in the list.
The primary reason behind players switching their nationality is that it keeps their hope of playing high-quality cricket and getting opportunities in international cricket alive. A lot of players, who originally belong to the associate nations do change their nationality because of the same.
