3. Oman

Oman are an associate member with an ODI status in the ICC. They gained the status in 2014 and following that, they made their T20I debut against Afghanistan in July 2015. In April 2019, they also broke into ODI cricket against Namibia at the Wanderers Cricket Ground in Windhoek. 
 
In 2015, Oman hit the headlines for winning the 2015 ACC Twenty20 Cup title. With this success, they also qualified for the 2015 ICC World Twenty 20 Qualifier played in Ireland and Scotland. In the 2018 Asia Cup Qualifier held in Malaysia, Hong Kong emerged as the winner of the competition while Oman ended up in the third position.

After the 2018 Asia Cup Qualifier, the Oman cricket team featured in the qualifier round of the continental competition again in 2022.  This time, they disappointed their fans by losing all three games in the ACC Western Region T20 tournament. Oman are striving to evolve as a cricketing nation and providing them with a chance against developed cricketing nations in the Asia Cup could help them thrive at a greater pace.
