3. Ruturaj Gaikwad
Ruturaj Gaikwad has been active in first-class cricket since October 2016 for Maharashtra. In his vast first-class career, the right-handed batter has amassed 1941 runs with six centuries and nine fifties in 47 innings of 28 matches. Following Gaikwad’s recent form and domestic numbers, selectors gave him a spot in India’s 16-member Test team that will tour the Caribbean islands and play a couple of Tests against the West Indies.
The 26-year-old also played four games in the Ranji Trophy 2022-23, in which he racked up 364 runs with a ton and a couple of half-centuries in seven innings. In the upcoming tournament, he will look forward to giving his best if the team management hands him his debut Test cap.
Gaikwad has the ability to play attacking cricket for India. In January, this year, he scored a swift knock of 195 off 184 against Tamil Nadu in match 86 of the Ranji Trophy 2022-23 and received the Player of the Match award.
