Bangladesh cricket has grown in stature in the last decade or so. They have given top-ranked teams a run for their money time and time again and have shown that they cannot be taken lightly in any format of the game.

However, with improved displays on the field, the aggressive attitude towards the opposition has also increased. At times, it has been noticed that the Bangladesh players or fans go a step ahead and show unruly behaviour towards the opposition. Let us take a look at some of the instances when Bangladesh have disrespected other teams.

5. Mahmudullah gives Jos Buttler a verbal send-off

Bangladesh were playing against England in the second game of the three-match ODI series in Mirpur in 2016. The Bangla Tigers batted first and posted a competitive total of 238 runs on the board. In response, England were in a spot of bother with Jos Buttler waging a lone battle to get his team over the line.

However, Taskin Ahmed got rid of the dangerous wicket-keeper batter in the 28th over and the Three Lions lost their seventh wicket at the score of 123. While the Bangladesh players were celebrating the dismissal, Mahmudullah gave Buttler a verbal send-off which infuriated the England batter and the duo got involved in a heated argument.

Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza and the umpires intervened and cooled off the matter. Later, the Bangla Tigers went on to win the game by 34 runs. When Buttler, who was England’s captain in that series was asked about the incident during the post-match conference, the veteran batter stated that "I was just disappointed in the way they celebrated."
