2. Bangladesh Vs India in 2007 World at Port Of Spain

In the 2007 World Cup, Bangladesh were placed in Group B with giants such as India and Sri Lanka and Habibul Bashar and his men outplayed the experienced Indian team with their indomitable spirit.

Playing their first match against India in the World Cup, Bangladeshi bowlers completely annihilated the Indian top order by sending Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, and Rahul Dravid back to the pavilion. Both Sourav Ganguly and Yuvraj Singh tried to bring India back into the match, but it was Mohammad Rafique who broke the partnership by dismissing Yuvraj Singh for 47. After Yuvraj’s wicket, India completely lost the momentum and got dismissed on 191 in 49.3 overs.

Chasing the target of 192, Bangladesh lost their first wicket at 24 as Shariar Nafees got dismissed on 2 by Zaheer Khan. Despite losing their opener, the team never looked under pressure as young Tamim Iqbal played some elegant strokes against the Indian bowlers. On the other hand, Mushfiqur Rahim's and Shakib Al Hasan;s half-centuries ended India’s chances of winning the match. In the end, the young Bangladesh team emerged victorious against India by 5 wickets.
