3. Bangladesh Vs England at Adelaide in 2015 World Cup
After winning against England in the 2011 World Cup, the Bangladesh team were facing England again in the group stage match in the 2015 World Cup. This time, under the leadership of Mashrafe Mortaza, the Bangla team had a responsibility to repeat the past.
On the Adelaide’s batting-friendly pitch, Bangladesh went through a horrendous start as both the openers departed early, but then Mahmudullah’s spunky 100 and Mushfiqur’s 89 helped the team to put the competetive score of 275 on the board.
While chasing 276, England openers Moeen Ali and Ian Bell delivered a solid start, but the fall of wickets at regular intervals put pressure on the middle order. Both Jos Buttler and Chris Woakes showed some fight, but their efforts went into vain after the loss of Buttler’s wicket. In the end, Bangladesh registered their second victory against England at the World Cup stage as Rubel Hossain dismissed Stuart Broad and James Anderson with his spectacular deliveries.
