Pakistan and West Indies clashed in the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 at The Oval in London and saw an infamous moment when West Indies wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin claimed a catch of Misbah-ul-Haq, which led to a huge controversy.

The incident took place during the ninth over of Pakistan's innings, when Misbah bottom-edged a delivery from Kemar Roach to Ramdin. Australian umpire Steve Davis gave Misbah out, but the decision was referred to third umpire Tony Hill following the intervention of English official Nigel Llong at square leg.

Replays clearly showed that Ramdin had taken the catch clearly, but then allowed it to spill out of his grasp. It was eventually decided that Ramdin did not have full control of the ball.

However, Ramdin had claimed the catch initially and was later charged with a Level Two breach of the ICC Code of Conduct, which relates to “conduct that is contrary to the spirit of the game.” He was later found guilty and was suspended for two ODIs and fined as well.
