2. CSK winning fifth IPL title, 2023

Chennai Super Kings winning another IPL title in 2023 remains one of the most iconic moments in the history of mega tournament. The grand finale was set to be played on May 28, 2023, at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium between CSK and the then defending champions Gujarat Titans. But in a twist of fate, persistent rains forced the match to the Reserve Day, and the final was postponed to the following day. Even on the reserved day, rain interrupted play, and the wait continued.

The match was finally underway, and Sai Sudharsan’s 96 off 47 balls set up a big total for the Gujarat Titans, and CSK was set a revised target of 171 in 15 overs due to a rain delay. It was a fascinating match with plenty of ebbs and flows, and it all came down to the final over, where 13 runs were required with Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dube in the middle and Mohit Sharma delivering the ultimate over. Jadeja held his nerve, hitting the needed 10 runs off the last two balls to help CSK secure their fifth trophy. With this, the MS Dhoni-led side also equalled Mumbai Indians record of five title, and it is among the most unforgettable moments.
