One of the tournaments in which India and Pakistan have clashed is the Asia Cup and there have been many encounters between the two sides, that have gone right down to the wire, with India and Pakistan both pulling off amazing victories against one another.
However, there have been some matches in which either side has dominated and won the games one-sided and today, we are going to check out five such India v Pakistan matches in which either the Men in Blue or the Men in Green came out victors in a one-sided fashion in the Asia Cup.
Here are the five most one-sided India vs Pakistan matches in Asia Cup history:
5. Pakistan vs India, Asia Cup 2008- India win by 6 wickets and 47 balls remaining
Another India versus Pakistan classic from the Asia Cup tournament, this time from the 2008 edition when the two sides clashed in Karachi’s National Stadium. Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik won the toss and chose to bat first, and led from the front making 125. Younis Khan made 59 runs and Mohammad Yousuf and Misbah-Ul-Haq also contributed to the 299/4 total.
India lost Gautam Gambhir for 9 runs in a tough chase, but then Virender Sehwag and Suresh Raina made a mockery of the big total while chasing in front of a full Pakistani-supported crowd.
Sehwag made 119 and Raina thumped 84 in 69 balls, while Yuvraj Singh with 48 and MS Dhoni with 26* finished the 300-run chase in 42 overs with 6 wickets in hand, in almost a one-sided win.
