5 overseas players to watch out for in IPL auction
The most-anticipated auction will take place on December 23, 2022, in Kerala's port city Kochi.
4. Jason Holder
Jason Holder failed to make it to the retention list of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in November after failing to deliver all-round performances in the last IPL season. Picking up 14 wickets in 12 matches at an expensive economy rate of 9.42, he looked out of rhythm with the ball. Speaking of his performance as a batter, the figures are worse as he scored only 58 runs at a miserable average of 9.67.
However, looking at his potential and experience as an all-rounder, the franchises might show faith in him. Playing the 2021 season for Sunrisers Hyderabad, he delivered his best performance in the league with 16 wickets in eight games at an economy of 7.75. In the West Indies cricket team, he is a vital cog for the last few years due to his amazing contribution with bat and ball.
In the last IPL edition, he received humongous INR 8.75 crores from Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). but this time, he listed his name with a base price of INR two crores. Considering his experience and all-round capabilities, he could be a great addition to any team.
