5 Players from T20 World Cup 2022 who can trigger bidding war at upcoming IPL auction
In the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup, numerous players have delivered blazing performances and it could become a reason for their demand among franchises at the IPL auction in December.
2. Wayne Parnell
Wayne Parnell, in the ongoing edition of the T20 World Cup made a remarkable comeback by providing strength to the team with his bowling prowess. The 33-year-old South African returned to the team in November 2021 in the 16-man squad for the three-match ODI series against the Netherlands.
In the T20 World Cup 2022, he showed his class with his attacking bowling against Zimbabwe and India. In the crucial game against the Men in Blue, he delivered a wonderful spell by dismissing three Indian players in Surya Kumar Yadav, Dinesh Karthik, and Ravichandran Ashwin. His economical spell also helped the Proteas restrict India to 133/9.
Based on his current bowling rhythm, IPL franchises might engage in a tussle at the auction to have him in their squads for the 2023 season. Previously, the bowler has also played in the league and that experience can also work in his favour.
