5 players who can trigger bidding war between MI and CSK at upcoming mini-auction
There are a few T20 stars whom both MI and CSK will likely be eager to pick at the upcoming mini-auction.
3. Kane Richardson
Kane Richardson has been a giant of a player in the T20 circuit. He has featured in 154 games and bagged an insane tally of 200 wickets at an economy of 8.05. The veteran pacer has also made 35 appearances for Australia in the shortest format and taken 44 wickets at an economy of 8.33.
Chennai Super Kings roped in Pretorious and Chris Jordan at the 2022 mega auction to support Bravo at the death but they leaked runs at an economy of 10.00 and 10.52 respectively. Mumbai Indians had a similar story as they struggled to find a bowler to partner Jasprit Bumrah at the fag end of the innings.
Both the marquee IPL sides could ponder over including Richardson to address their death-overs woes. The 31-year-old has numerous variations up his sleeve and has mastered the art of bowling in the slog overs. Thus, Chennai and Mumbai might go hammer and tongs for the Australian pacer at the upcoming auction.
